MS MapleStory Guidelines
Should someone talk to you, be courteous enough to reply even with just a simple “Hi” or “Hello”. A little socializing makes the game more fun and interesting.
When attacking your own enemies, try and find a quiet, solitary spot. Refrain from killing another player’s enemies, doing so constitutes “Kill-Stealing”.
In level 15 and up, you will get to use a feature called “fame”. This is used as one of the criteria in using certain weapons and armor in the game. In this level, one can raise or drop the other player’s fame, but with a once-a-month restriction. Abusing this privilege by lowering other player’s fame without a valid reason can get your name blacklisted on MapleStory’s bulletin board.
Be very careful in holding on to your items. Other players are quick to pick up dropped items that they may come across with, and which many players do not have the intention of returning to the original owner.
Exercise caution when inviting “strangers” to join you in a party. Bear in mind that not everybody may share your cooperativeness and team spirit. Some may just be “free loaders”, wanting to get a free ride.
Make sure that before adding someone in your buddy list that he is willing to be part of that list.
Avoid advertising, swearing, harassing and threatening other players. Not only is it impolite, but by doing so will get your account suspended.
For security reasons, do not be liberal in giving out your personal information, especially to those who you do not know.
