MS MapleStory MapleStory Global

MapleStory Global was released on May 11, 2005 and has five worlds. Originally, a beta testing world called 'Tespia' existed, it was then later split into two worlds called East Tespia and West Tespia. Tespia East was eventually closed on June 2005 due to the opening of MapleStory SEA while Tespia West was closed on November 16, 2005 since most players have stopped playing the Beta version. In order to play, players must sign-up for an NXgames passport. The Thai and South Korean versions of the game also use the same world names as Global version, but the servers are not connected in any way. In addition, users in South Korea, Japan, China, Taiwan, Thailand, Singapore, and Malaysia are not allowed to play or sign-up for MapleStory Global. This is enforced by blocking the IP addresses, although it can be circumvented by SOCKS proxy.
